General Terms and Conditions for the Hotel Accommodation Contract of LORENZ HOTELS GmbH as the operating company of Hotel Achterum in Greetsiel – hereinafter referred to as "Hotel".

§ 1 Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions apply to contracts for the rental of hotel rooms for accommodation and other services provided by the Hotel. Subletting or further letting of the rooms provided, as well as their use for purposes other than accommodation, require the prior consent of the Hotel in text form.

§ 2 Conclusion of Contract, Contracting Parties, Limitation Period

The Hotel is free to confirm the room booking in text form. The contracting parties are the Hotel and the Guest. If a third party has made the booking on behalf of the Guest, they shall be jointly and severally liable to the Hotel together with the Guest. All claims against the Hotel shall generally become statute-barred within one year from the statutory commencement of the limitation period. Claims for damages shall become statute-barred within five years.

§ 3 Services, Prices, Payment, Set-off

The Guest is obliged to pay the Hotel's applicable prices for the provision of rooms and other services used by them. The Hotel's invoices are payable within 14 days of receipt of the invoice without deduction. In case of default in payment, the Hotel is entitled to charge a flat fee of €25.00. The Hotel is entitled to require advance payment or security from the Guest upon conclusion of the contract.

§ 4 Cancellation by the Guest (Cancellation, Withdrawal, NoShow)

Cancellation by the Guest of the contract concluded with the Hotel requires the consent of the Hotel in text form. If a date for free cancellation has been agreed between the Hotel and the Guest, the Guest may withdraw from the contract until that date without triggering payment or compensation claims by the Hotel. The right to cancel expires from two weeks before the contractually agreed arrival date.

§ 5 Cancellation by the Hotel

If it has been agreed in text form that the Guest may withdraw from the contract free of charge within a certain period, the Hotel is also entitled to withdraw from the contract during this period. In the event of justified withdrawal by the Hotel, the Guest shall have no claim for compensation.

§ 6 Room Provision, Handover and Return

Booked rooms are available to the Guest from 14:00 on the agreed arrival date. On the agreed departure date, the rooms must be vacated and made available to the Hotel by 11:00 at the latest. Thereafter, the Hotel may charge 50% of the full accommodation price for use beyond the contract until 14:00, and 100% thereafter.

§ 7 Liability of the Hotel

The Hotel is liable for its obligations under the contract. For items brought in, the Hotel is liable in accordance with statutory provisions. Liability is limited to one hundred times the room price, but not exceeding € 3,500, and for money, securities and valuables up to a maximum of € 800.

§ 8 Final Provisions

Amendments and supplements to the contract shall be made in text form. German law applies. Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
